Why Werewolf by Night #32 Is Valuable
Werewolf by Night #32 introduced Marc Spector, the mercenary who becomes Moon Knight. Doug Moench wrote the issue and Don Perlin drew it. Moon Knight began as a villain hired to capture the werewolf Jack Russell, and he became a hero and got his own series a few years later.
The 2022 Disney+ series Moon Knight pushed this book to record prices, and it remains one of the top keys of the Bronze Age. For the rest of the run, see our Werewolf by Night price guide.

How to Spot a Werewolf by Night #32 Reprint
- Cover price. The US original says 25¢ and is dated August 1975.
- UK pence copies. A copy with a pence price is a genuine 1975 UK edition. It is an original, but it usually sells for less than the US copy in the same grade.
- Facsimile edition. Marvel's facsimile edition is marked as a reprint and has a modern price.
- Paper. Originals are on off-white to tan newsprint.
- Restoration. Color touch or trimming lowers value, and CGC uses a purple label for these copies.

What Affects the Value of Your Copy
A 9.8 is worth about three times a 9.6, and a 9.6 about twice a 9.4, so small defects cost a lot at the top. Learn more in how condition affects comic book value, raw vs graded comics and CGC vs CBCS, or see our comic book grading guide.
